The Victorian State Budget sets out the government’s expenditure and programs priorities for the year but what do the numbers really mean to an everyday Victorian citizen? This community event is for developers, researchers, practitioners, and anyone else who's interested to come together and explore different ways to present and make sense of the state budget. More than 50 data sets from the budget and location data will be released for this event.

To better understand and communicate the implications of the 2017/2018 Victorian Budget some things we might consider are:

  • Where, the budget has been distributed across the state and what for?
  • How will the budget benefit individuals, the localities that they live and work in, and the public services available to citizens across the state?
  • How does the budget provide for for people who are vulnerable or disadvantaged?
