Meeting: Digital Health Group - 23 Sep 2016

Human‐computer interaction and health outcomes

Time: 1:30-3:00pm, Friday 23 September

Venue: Room 9.08, Doug McDonnell Building (map)

The Interaction Design Lab (IDL) is a research group within the Department of Computing and Information Systems. They work on aspects of Human‐Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Ubiquitous Computing. The HCI researchers study ways to design technologies that people will be able and willing to use. This can be a very valuable perspective to introduce in health projects.

The IDL research team has worked on a range of health projects in recent years and will host the next Digital Health Collaborative Group meeting in their laboratory so they can demonstrate its activities.

  1. IDL researchers will present and demonstrate current digital health projects.
  2. A/Prof Kathleen Gray will discuss Health and Biomedical Informatics Centre (HaBIC) research resources, connections and future directions.
  3. There will be a tour of the usability lab and its facilities.

This meeting is being organised by Dr Greg Wadley, lecturer in CIS and a member of IDL.
